Aquarium Cap Blanc
Ibiza Aquarium Cap Blanc was traditionally used as a lobster reserve, still conserved today, which guarantee correct water circulation and oxygen levels.
From the reserve, lobsters were exported to the markets of Barcelona and other cities. Also, fishermen kept here the live specimens they had caught but not sold, to sell in times of bad weather when fishing was impossible.
In 1989 the cave was converted into the aquarium wich we know today, where visitors can find a wide selection of the species of Mediterranean fish from the waters around Ibiza, such as the majestic dusky grouper or the discrete rainbow wrasse and damsel fish.
