Microneedling treatments at MedSpa Ibiza

The non-invasive treatment employs what can only be described as a magic pen, or perhaps more appropriately, a magic wand for the fight against ageing, not to mention a myriad of other conditions, symptoms and concerns. This highly effective and long-lasting treatment is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, alopecia, age spots, stretch marks and scars. Microneedling improves skin’s texture and appearance and activates and stimulates natural collagen production for brighter looking skin, plus reduces laughter lines and expression lines to give you a more youthful appearance. It’s fantastic to treat PRP (Pityriasis rubra pilaris), a rare skin disorder with reddish-orange coloured scaling patches, the more common melasma, which leaves grey patches on the skin and eliminates age spots by exfoliating the outer layers and regenerating the skin.

The pen itself has multiple needles that can be set to penetrate different depths of the skin, meaning better absorption of the anti-ageing products and ingredients. Not only that, it actually encourages the production of collagen and elastin, which is enough to give you a glow by itself. Safe, fast and hygienic, up to 90% of active ingredients are absorbed during a microneedling treatment, making sure they reach the correct destination in the best possible way. Prior to the treatment, skin is cleansed and exfoliated to remove any dead skin cells, before a topical local anaesthetic is applied and left for 15-20 minutes so you won’t feel a thing. With a very short recovery time, plus little chance of redness or scleroderma – a hardening and contraction of the skin and connective tissue – after treatment, you can be back at your desk or at home in your villa straight after a cooling hydrating mask or lotion is applied to soothe the skin at the end of the treatment.

There are three Microneedling treatments available at MedSpa Ibiza, Regeneration, which features NCTC 109 + Vitamin C. CTC is a special ‘cocktail’ made by Mesoestetic that contains vitamins, coenzymes, amino acids and minerals; Stemcell, which contains plant stem cells that activate your own stem cells to start multiplying while skin is recovering and Rejuvenation, using hyaluronic acid + organic silicon, to help the metabolism of skin cells. Each treatment costs 120€ for a 45-minute treatment or you can buy three sessions for 300€.
