Ibiza restaurants: Foccacini with Octopus at Il Decanter

With a menu as varied as its location is glorious, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to snack on at Il Decanter in Ibiza town. Whatever you choose, you’ll be doing it with the ancient walls of Dalt Vila in the background, but a good place to start is with the homemade focaccini, made fresh and with love in the restaurant’s state of the art kitchen.

At Il Decanter every ingredient is made from scratch and locally sourced, where possible. The octopus comes from the shores of Spain and is succulent and soft to the bite, then there’s the creamy mozzarella, the salty olives and capers and the sweet tomato and oregano sauce, all placed atop artisan bread that’s been left to rise for 48 hours. Essentially, a little slice of Italian flavour found on the streets of Ibiza.
