In keeping with the award-winning restaurant’s ethos, simplicity, freshness and quality are at the heart of this hearty (and also very beautiful!) dish at The Giri Café. Perfect for those end-of-season nights when there’s a slight chill in the air after sunset, it’s a welcome contemporary twist on the old faithful combination of steak and mushrooms, with each and every ingredient given the opportunity to shine on the plate (and in each mouthful).
The finest Galician beef sirloin is sourced daily – to be cooked to your liking and served atop a whipped potato truffle puree that is the very perfect complement. Topped with homemade herb butter (the herbs coming from the onsite garden) and fresh boletus mushrooms, the sirloin is drizzled with demi glace and served with sauteed leaves of bok choi. Heaven on a plate.
