Ibiza restaurants: Sashimi Moriawase at Zela Ibiza
With a Michelin-starred chef at its helm, it’s no surprise that Zela – the brand new fine dining destination in Talamanca – packs a real punch with its exceptional Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine. One of its star dishes is the Sashimi Moriawase – an enormous selection of fresh, quality fish, presented raw and with wasabi, soy, and ponzu as accompaniments. Prepared by Zela Ibiza’s expert chefs, each piece of fish is perfectly prepared and crafted.
There’s Scorpion fish caught off the shores of Ibiza, tuna and squid from the Mediterranean, scallops from Ireland, high quality Salmon from Norway (the most well-treated of its kind), and yellow tail, straight from Japan’s most famous fish market. In addition you’re presented with salmon roe marinated in soy and sake, a side of sensational seaweed and triangles of Japanese omelette. White fish is to be dipped in ponzu for flavour enhancement, while soy should be used sparingly, and only with delicate flavoured fish like tuna.
