A one-stop sensual feast
Breathing fresh life into the sleepy village of San Juan, Los Otros is a space designed to satiate all the senses – a cafe and concept store loaded with treasures of every kind. It’s a place to feast on homemade vegetarian food, fill your wardrobe, and get a haircut, should the mood take you.
The brainchild of Amsterdam natives Nicolaas Homan and Mirjam Leslie Pringle – who together produced the successful vegetarian cookbook, Veggie Very Much – Los Otros oozes urban cool from its foundations. One half of the space is dedicated to a store selling cutting edge brands and gifts not found elsewhere on the island, while the other is used as a kitchen for Mirjam’s culinary creations.
The menu is laden with plant-based treats. For breakfast, tuck into açai bowls and the Los Otros egg salad, plus a variety of flavoursome smoothies and fresh, cold pressed juices. For lunch, it’s all about the amazing spring rolls made with asparagus, crispy veggies and avocado; organic brown rice noodle soup served with shiitakes, broccoli and radishes; or pasta with rosemary tomato pesto – made with rosemary fresh from the herb garden, of course.
All recipes are designed by Mirjam, made with love and fresh, organic produce, and can be enjoyed on the venue’s terrace. Stop by for a coffee, a juice or a cocktail – with pop-up dinners planned for Saturday nights – and then be absorbed by everything else this concept space has to offer: clothes, homewares, accessories and even a hair salon!
