Ibiza restaurants: Las Dos Lunas
Escape from the crowds
One of Ibiza’s most iconic fine dining destinations, Las Dos Lunas is shrouded in high stone walls, covered in grape vines and vibrant pink bougainvillea with an eye-catching white statue of a cow presiding over the venue. Charismatic Italian owner Massimo Lucarini and wife Almudena believe the property – once an antique store and the family home which wa transformed to a restaurant in 1981 – has a soul and once you’ve visited, you’ll probably agree.
Set conveniently on the road to San Rafael – within walking distance to superclubs Privilege and Amnesia, and with plenty of parking right on its doorstep – Las Dos Lunas is the perfect escape from the crowds, or place to warm up for the night ahead. Art and whimsical décor feature predominantly in the stylish setting, alongside romantic tables for two tucked in softly-lit corners, social round tables and long banquet style settings.
The Mediterranean-meets-fine-Italian menu includes handmade pasta, incredible risottos, a Milanese to die for, the finest cuts of meat on the island grilled in an outdoor wood-fired oven plus changing daily specials of the freshest fish. Veggies come courtesy of the well-curated onsite organic garden and desserts are homemade with much ‘amore’, true to their Italian roots.
Drop in for a cocktail or a fabulous tipple from the impressive wine cellar; enjoy old school glamour and live music on Saturday nights, shop in the cool pop-up boutique appropriately dubbed ‘Wardobe of Dreams’ or reserve the venue exclusively for your wedding or special event. Las Dos Lunas offers for everyone, open nightly from 8pm until 2am,
