As the name suggests (El Carnicero translates to ‘the butcher’), carnivores are well catered to, with a menu designed by an executive chef born and bred in Argentina. Growing up with an understanding that there is no such thing as a simple cut of beef, nor one way to cook it, the El Carnicero kitchen is testament to his heritage.
Only the finest meat from around the world is flown in, from Australia, the USA, mainland Spain and of course, Argentina. Cooked to perfection, the options are mouth-wateringly good: Tomahawk, entraña, strip steak, T-bone, bavette – and if you can’t decide, a mixed grill. Burgers, lamb chops, chorizo, liver, chicken and more provide even further temptation.
While steak is the star of the show, the starters at El Carnicero really allow the creativity of the chef to shine. Think steak tartare with a twist, tiradito of duck plus an amazing ceviche and sashimi made using raw beef. Whatever you do, arrive hungry. El Carnicero is truly fit for a king.
