The iconic space was given a fresh new lease of life in 2016 by renowned Ibiza restaurateur Rita Sachs. Paying homage to the restaurant’s iconic Spanish location, she has transformed El Olivo Mio into a gypsy chic dining destination with flair. Tables are resplendent with Flamenco-esque red and white polka dot tablecloths, flowers hang dramatically from the ceiling, while walls are adorned with bullfighter and Spanish dancer themed art.
It is the creative, Mediterranean menu with an international twist that is the true drawcard at El Olivo Mio. On a constant quest for perfection, Rita and her team scour the globe for the highest quality products – only the best will do, whether it is wild, line-caught sea bass, the famous Teruel summer truffles, foie gras hailing from Perigord in France or black cod from Alaska.
Start with classic croquetas or the finest Iberico ham before moving onto deluxe starters, including the showstopping crunchy courgette flowers filled with ricotta, Parmesan and pesto or the super fresh Provençal inspired vegetable tarte. Mains include an organic roasted baby chicken, the island’s finest rib eye, linguine a la vongole and five-hour slow roasted lamb. And that’s just the beginning – talk about being spoilt for choice!
