Get the look: Barely there bohemian
*Smack Ibiza’s philosophy is that good make-up starts with the skin. Starting with a REN T-Zone Balancing Gel Cream to reduce shine and following with an application of SPF50 La Roche Posay to protect Sarah’s flawless skin, Sara then completed her skin prep by buffing NARS Pore Refiner Primer onto the face with a rounded brush.
*Smack Ibiza are long-time advocates of MAC Pro Performance HD Airbrush Makeup. “It’s heat and sweat proof, with great staying power in the Ibiza heat,” says Sara, who buffed the NW35 shade onto Sarah’s face using a circular motion. “It’s non-oily and super lightweight, but the finish is flawless – there’s no need for a powder finish.”
*Using soft strokes, Sara brushed bareMinerals Stroke of Light eye brightener under the eyes to keep shadows at bay. “This product is great to use for touch-ups throughout the day,” she says. “No matter how often you apply, it’s never cakey, so perfect to use all day long if they eyes start to look a little tired.”
*Sarah’s subtle eye make-up was a three-stage process. First, Sara lightly dabbed MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Layin Low onto the eyelids using her middle finger. “The texture is a cream shadow, but it sets like a powder and lasts all day – it’s a great stay-put shadow.” Then using a flat eyeshadow application brush, she blended Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Taupe onto the eyelid crease to open the eyes, followed by the same product in Rich Espresso applied close to the lash line with an angle brush to create definition with an eyeliner effect.
*”There are so many brow trends out there,” says Sara. “But you need to choose the right one to suit your face and natural brow shape. It’s such a personal thing.” For our beautiful model, she defined her brows with MAC Eyeshadow in Concrete using an angle brush, and set them with a flick of brow gel.
*Using MAC Waterproof Mascara on both top and bottom lashes, Sara applied two coats to the top lashes and just one to the bottom. “This look is very lightweight, so you don’t want to build up too much product on the lashes. It’s best to apply more mascara at the roots than the ends to achieve this.”
*Using a blush brush, Sara applied NARS Blush in Deep Throat to the apples of Sarah’s cheeks for a fresh, flushed look, followed by lightly sweeping the cult bronzer Benefit Hoola around the temples, on the cheekbones and across the t-zone to warm up the skin.
*Prepping the lips with REN Vita Mineral Lip Balm, Sara then finished the look with Maybelline Velvet Lip Pencil in Nude Perfection. “This is a fab product,” she says. “It’s a big chunky pencil that’s like a liner and a lipstick in one. If you prefer a glossy finish, you can add another layer of the lip balm afterwards.”
*Hair note: Smack Ibiza hair stylist Elia used Label M Sea Salt Spray on Sarah’s long locks to create the slightly wavy texture and add more body after tonging it.
