Well, that’s what successful graduates of Ibiza’s cooking classes may say when they wish to pretend their newfound cooking skills came naturally, or those who’ve sampled the delights of a supper club experience and want to keep it their little secret, but we say the second rule of cooking club is ignore rule number one! As Ibiza’s gastronomic reputation continues to grow, with the introduction of winter cooking classes and local celebrity chef dinners, the next Jamie Oliver may just spring forth from our own front yard! White Ibiza recommends: Spanish tapas plates at Raco Verd
No holiday on the white isle is complete without sampling a selection of traditional Spanish tapas plates, and our favourite place to indulge is San Jose hotspot Raco Verd, at any time of day or night! A few of our ‘most ordered’ dishes as seen above: Jamon Serrano with pan con tomate (that’s cured ham and bread smothered in the freshest tomato and olive oil!); Pimientos de Padron (small fried green peppers – about one in five is oh-so-very spicy!) and Boquerones (fresh anchovies marinated in oil, garlic, lemon and parsely) – all washed down with a glass of chilled rose wine of course.
