Sitting above the retro-chic beach of Cala Vadella in the south west of the island, Can Ava is a six-bedroom luxury villa designed for adventure lovers and escapists alike. Comprised of the main villa plus two standalone guest houses, the expansive property is ideal for friends or large families who’d like to maintain some privacy while holidaying as a group. The cubic-style architecture stands out beautifully against the pine-clad hills and offers panoramic views of the brilliant blue Balearic Sea from every terrace, its swanky poolside deck and manicured lawn. The epitome of Mediterranean cool.
There are six simple and sophisticated double bedrooms with private bathrooms at Can Ava, divided equally between the main villa and two separate guest houses, which offer independent garden access for privacy and discretion. Each room is bright and airy, with lots of wardrobe space for those who don’t travel light, plus air conditioning to keep you cool on hot summer nights.

In the main villa, a large traditional lounge offers two luxurious seating areas with plush sofas allowing guests the comfort and space to relax. A fireplace keeps things cosy in the cooler months, while a separate cinema and games room houses the television, keeping the main living area reserved for chilling out or socialising. Each guest house features a shared living room with a fridge, for quieter moments away from the main group. Alongside the well-equipped main kitchen, the stylish corner dining area seats up to 10 guests, with glass doors opening out to views of the lush garden and turquoise pool, creating an indoor-outdoor vibe.
The outdoor area boasts a pristine lawn and garden surrounding the sunbed and parasol-lined 15-metre swimming pool. The main villa, with its expansive dining terrace is perched on a higher level than the guest houses – which are poised on either side – and is reached via a grand sweeping stairwell. The grass lawn is great for entertaining guests or for kids to run around and play on. A white gazebo provides a central gathering place to dine alfresco on delicious food cooked on the barbecue, while there are multiple spaces designed for chilling out in the sunshine dotted across the villa grounds all with breath-taking sea views.

The paradisiacal beach of Cala Vadella is less than five minutes away by car. There’s something almost nostalgic about this family friendly, sandy cove, with its chic rows of beach beds, colourful pedalos, kayaks and SUP boards tempting beachgoers out into the water. It feels like the Ibiza of years gone by – indulge in some up classic paella and the best fish on the island at locals’ favourite restaurant Maria Luisa, right on the beach and you’ll feel the magic.
Within walking distance of Can Ava is another locals’ favourite eatery, Can Pa. This relaxed bistro is a great stop-off for breakfast, tapas and salads before hitting the beach, run by super friendly staff, and if you’re lucky you can catch live music there too while grabbing a post-beach pizza on your way home. The small local supermarket next door, Proxim, is open until 9pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday mornings during the summer, so you can stock up with your favourite snacks and vinos for the night too.
The largest village of the south, San José, is a zippy ten-minute drive from the villa, where you can take your pick of restaurants, bars, delis and boutiques. There’s a larger supermarket called Hipercentro in this area but before you spent valuable holiday time pushing around shopping trolleys, remember White Ibiza can coordinate your personalised shopping list to be delivered and unpacked at Can Ava before you arrive.
You can’t miss taking in a sunset overlooking Es Vedra, one of the island’s most iconic, and mysterious landmarks – famed as the most energetic point on the island. The best lookout points, La Torre d’es Savinar (an ancient pirate tower) or the beautiful beach of Cala d’Hort are both within a 15-minute drive from the villa. You’ll have to hike an extra 10 minutes to the tower but it’s so worth it! In high season, if you want to avoid the sunset crowds, sunrise is equally as beautiful here.
The picturesque village of San Agustín is just around the corner from San José, and if you’re in Ibiza at the end of August, the area celebrates its Patron Saint Day on August 28 with an authentic local fiesta featuring music, artisan craft markets and traditional dance. If you’re not there in August, it’s always worth popping into Can Berri Vell for a classic Ibicenco meal opposite the charming old church – it’s the other side of Ibiza very few tourists get to discover.
Please keep in mind you are renting a private home and our owners request that you treat their property with respect at all times.
This villa operates a Saturday to Saturday changeover in high season, however there may be flexibility at other times of the year.
Check in is any time after 4pm on the date of your arrival. Check out is 10am. Late check ins can be arranged if needed due to flight times and are subject to an additional fee.
