Description

Can Madera is a four-bedroom home equipped with all the right ingredients for a dream family holiday. Situated in a quiet area between Jesus and Santa Eulalia – surrounded by pine forest and boasting stunning views across the hills and down to the sea – the only sounds you’ll hear from the villa are rustling treetops and the chatter of birds. Set over three levels, there’s plenty of space for everyone to relax, plus hidden nooks to a enjoy heavenly summer siesta, a good book or glass of wine. Summer life is lived alfresco thanks to an outdoor kitchen, dining area and lounge, while the pool – which can be fenced off for children’s safety – is solar heated, making Can Madera ideal for out-of-season breaks too.

Bedrooms & bathrooms

There are four air-conditioned bedrooms at Can Madera, each with an en suite bathroom. Two can be configured as twins on request. Luxuriously appointed with high quality linens and plump, hotel-standard pillows, there is a country-style feeling of homeliness here – sweet dreams and a good night’s sleep are made of this.

Interior

The interiors at Can Madera are homely yet elegant, with the heart of the home found on the open plan first level of the villa, where kitchen, dining and living spaces interconnect. Plush and comfortable sofas, scatter rugs, wall hangings and soft furnishings are used to soften up the terracotta tiled areas, while each room is filled with books, creating the feeling of staying in an authentic family home. A central fireplace warms things up out-of-season, and low-lit lamps are carefully placed throughout the spaces to add a sense of romance to the interiors as the sun starts to set and the Ibiza night begins.

Outdoors

A pretty blue picket fence flanked by bougainvillea leads you onto a meticulously manicured lawn surrounded by vibrant flowers on the front side of Can Madera. Here, a variety of shaded benches and chill-out spaces offer places for grown-ups to take respite from the sun, while kids will love running around and playing on the grass. Behind the house is the swimming pool – perfectly placed to take advantage of the stunning views out to sea. Chic wooden sun loungers line the polished concrete deck, with extra plush mattresses and convenient side tables making it easy to spend the entire day poolside. An outdoor kitchen, barbecue and alfresco dining table for 10 people mean meals are usually taken outdoors – be it beneath the vast Balearic sky or a blanket of stars.

Good to know

  • A housekeeper visits Can Madera to clean from Monday to Friday between 10am and 12pm. Towels are changed on a Wednesday.
  • There is no air conditioning in the main living area, however all bedrooms are fitted with air conditioners.
  • Two of the bedrooms can be configured with twin beds to allow for more convenient and practical sharing in large groups.
  • The swimming pool can be heated on request for lower season stays – please ask us in advance if you require this service.
  • You’ll find a bar in the outdoor kitchen, where Can Madera’s owners and previous guests leave bottles of spirits, so you can get creative with your sundowner cocktails each night.
  • White Ibiza can coordinate airport transfers, car rental, grocery shopping so your fridge is stocked up prior to arrival, boat charters, private chef services, health and beauty therapists, nannies and much more. A full itinerary planning and hosting service is also available for your convenience.

    If you’re visiting with kids, expect to spend hours at local organic farm Can Muson. Just moments away from Can Madera, the farm sells seasonal organic fruit and veg, local honey, olive oil and ecological wines, and its in-house restaurant serves fresh juices, salads, tostadas and crepes to the shaded tables dotted around the vegetable garden. Kids love the guided tours of the farm, especially when it’s feeding time.

    The nearby town of Santa Eulalia is a family holiday hub, brimming with restaurants along the seafront including one of our favourites, Sa Carboneria, which serves up some of the best meat on the island. We also love the new W Hotel for a special night out, starting with dinner at La Llama and followed by drinks at rooftop cocktail bar Glow – ask us to book you a babysitter!

    Keeping kids entertained on holiday is not always easy – no matter how many hours they’re allowed to spend in the pool! When they’re feeling restless, zip up the road to Acrobosc (near Cala Pada beach, also close by) so they can let off some steam zip wiring through the treetops and learning how to rock climb. It’s a sure-fire way to guarantee them (and you!) a good night’s sleep.

    This is the perfect holiday home for book lovers as the villa’s shelves are chock-full of the most amazing reading selections, from old classics with beautiful covers to the latest chick lit bestsellers best enjoyed poolside with a cocktail.

    It’s a short drive from Can Madera to the Marina and chartering a boat to Formentera for the day is an absolute must-do. We can book you into one of our sister island’s best restaurants for lunch or organise a picnic on board if you prefer to spend the whole day whizzing around at sea – always the highlight of an Ibiza holiday, we can’t recommend this enough!

Policies

  • Please keep in mind you are renting a private home and our owners request that you treat their property with respect at all times.

  • This villa operates a Saturday to Saturday changeover in high season, however there may be flexibility at other times of the year.

  • Check in is any time after 4pm on the date of your arrival. Check out is 10am. Late check ins can be arranged if needed due to flight times and are subject to an additional fee.

  • Due to our agreement with the owners of Can Madera, only approved White Ibiza suppliers may be given access to the villa during your stay. This includes private chefs, shopping home delivery services, nannies, massage therapists and more, which can be organised by our team on request. Please note, we require a deposit for these services.

  • White Ibiza cannot be held responsible for the quality of the WiFi service in this villa.

  • White Ibiza Villas requires a credit card security deposit of 2,000€. This will be refunded on confirmation that no damages were caused during your stay at Can Madera.
