Sa Serra

Cala Conta, South West
8 guests
4 bedrooms
5 bathrooms

When it comes to impressive views, Sa Serra is one of the most standout properties in our collection. Recently renovated, the four-bedroom Cala Conta villa is set high on a hill and surrounded by pine forest, boasting vistas that stretch out past the countryside below to take in the islets Sa Conillera and Es Vedra rising out of the Mediterranean Sea. The open plan, two-storey layout of the sleek and spacious house makes it perfect for families or groups, and Sa Serra’s convenient location means you can walk to the beach whenever the mood strikes – that’s if you can drag yourself away from the laid-back pool area. And as day turns to dusk – the famous ‘golden hour’ – those iconic Ibiza sunset views are like the icing on the cake.

Bedrooms & bathrooms

All four air-conditioned bedrooms are designed to make the most of the property’s incredible sea views, with two rooms facing Es Vedra and the other two looking out over Cala Conta. Modern, chic and tastefully designed, the interior design theme is reminiscent of a luxury resort, with high quality bedding, stylish and contemporary en suite bathrooms and a neutral colour palette that makes it easy to feel right at home in minutes. There’s also an additional guest bathroom by the pool.

Stepping into Sa Serra, through a Moroccan-esque carved wooden door that contrasts beautifully with villa’s minimal architecture, there is an overall feeling of calmness. An expansive entrance hall, filled with natural light, leads into an air-conditioned open plan kitchen and dining area, then through to a living room that can be partitioned off from the dining spaces if privacy is required, or opened out to the terrace to bring the feeling of outdoor living in. Huge, plush sofas set the scene for days and nights spent catching up with friends and family, while the large modern kitchen is a dream for those who love cooking a family feast – or enlisting the help of a private chef! Each time you leave Sa Serra, be sure to take a minute to appreciate that aforementioned wooden door – when open, it reveals the view of Sa Conillera as if it were in a picture frame.

Sa Serra has two large terraces on either side of the villa, one at the back with the outside kitchen and the other at the front enjoying those views. There is also rooftop terrace ideal for morning yoga, massages or just basking in the glorious sunshine. The west-facing terrace is your own private sunset viewing platform, encompassing a stylish outdoor living room and dining area fitted with stylish Varaschin furniture. Through the living room to the back terrace you’ll find an alfresco kitchen, barbecue and further shaded dining space, all on one level, just perfect for entertaining. Of course, the pool and its deck, surrounded by luxe sunbeds and umbrellas for shade, are the most popular area of the villa by day – there’s a sloping shallow end that’s perfect for kids and a poolside bathroom set on a lower level means no wet feet running in and out of the main house.

Good to know

  • A cleaning service is provided at Sa Serra from Monday to Friday.
  • Although this villa feels extremely private and isn’t overlooked by any neighbouring properties, please note it is located in a residential street with houses close by, so please be conscious with music and loud noise.
  • We have a fantastic selection of charter boats moored in the nearby San Antonio marina, so you don’t need to head too far to board a boat. The most popular day trip choice is always Formentera, but the west coast of the island offers some equally as stunning (and less crowded) routes to travel.
  • If you want to make the most of the incredible outdoor kitchen and dining spaces, but don’t fancy cooking or washing up (it’s your holiday after all) let us know and we can arrange a private chef service.
  • White Ibiza can also coordinate airport transfers, car rental, food shopping so your fridge is stocked up prior to arrival, health and beauty therapists, nannies, yoga teachers and much more. A full itinerary planning and hosting service is also available for your convenience.

Five more reasons to stay

  1. 1

Sa Serra really is a villa for beach lovers as you are near some of Ibiza’s very best, not to mention those that are the most famous for the sunset. Bypass the main beach at Cala Conta and make a beeline for Racó d’en Xic (known by locals as Cala Contita, which translates to ‘little Conta bay’), where the quaint little eco-chiringuito, Cala Escondida, serves up icy cold beer and snacks at accessible prices – though be aware, this little bay is popular with nudists.

  2. 2

A day trip to the nearby resort, 7Pines Kempinksi Ibiza, is a must-do for lovers of luxury. Start the day with a massage or treatment at its tranquil Pure Seven wellness centre, before moving to one of the pools (there’s the iconic infinity pool or the family friendly Laguna pool) to relax even more, then head to the boho surrounds of in-house restaurant Cone Club, where you can snack on tapas or tuck into traditional Spanish cuisine, before watching the sun set before your eyes as DJs spin Balearic beats.

  3. 3

Take a trip to see Es Vedra, one of the island’s most iconic, and mysterious landmarks – famed as the most energetic point on the island. You’ll find two of the island’s best seafood restaurants in its viewing vicinity – Can Carmen, on the beach of Cala D’Hort, directly opposite the famous rock, and a little further up on the hill, Es Boldado, where you feel like you can almost reach out and touch it. Reservations are essential here in summer, especially on Sundays, when it’s super popular for local families to gather here for celebrations.

  4. 4

When you’re ready to take a break from pool days and beach life, we recommend taking a pre-sunset stroll through the petite village of Santa Agnes. Tuck into the famous tortilla at Can Cosmi, before heading up the winding hill to discover the locals’ secret sunset spot, Las Puertas del Cielo. Translating to ‘the gates of heaven’, the name of this rustic clifftop shack (which serves up fabulous grilled meats and fish) is incredibly apt – the jaw-dropping views are like nothing else in Ibiza.

  5. 5

While sunsets from the villa are as close to perfect as you can get, for an authentic Ibiza experience, be sure to visit the bohemian surrounds of Sunset Ashram on nearby Cala Conta beach. In high summer, reservations are always essential as the front row seats to the sunset are in such high demand, but the views, the Asian fusion menu and the laid-back Balearic soundtrack are all worth the effort. A little further around the coast are restaurants S’illa Des Bosc and Ses Boques – all the more reason to visit every night!

  • Please keep in mind you are renting a private home and our owners request that you treat their property with respect at all times.

  • This villa operates a Saturday to Saturday changeover in high season, however there may be flexibility at other times of the year.

  • Check in is any time after 4pm on the date of your arrival. Check out is 10am. Late check ins can be arranged if needed due to flight times and are subject to an additional fee.

  • Due to our agreement with the owners of Sa Serra, only approved White Ibiza suppliers may be given access to the villa during your stay. This includes private chefs, shopping home delivery services, nannies, massage therapists and more, which can be organised by our team on request. Please note, we require a deposit for these services.

  • Ibiza internet quality can be questionable at times! White Ibiza cannot be held responsible for the quality of the WiFi service in this villa.

  • White Ibiza Villas requires a credit card security deposit of 2,000€. This will be refunded on confirmation that no damages were caused during your stay at Sa Serra.
