Villa Novia

Villa Novia is an architectural masterpiece, sitting high on the hill of San Lorenzo. This secluded home retains all the hallmarks of a traditional Ibicenco home – whitewashed walls and open spaces – yet is a beautiful example of how contemporary design can fuse so perfectly amongst the lush countryside. Gorgeously decorated with many open common spaces and light-filled rooms, this sanctuary is a blissful island retreat.

Bedrooms & bathrooms

The personal touches in each room at Villa Novia differentiate it from stock standard holiday rentals. Each of the five double bedrooms with ensuites is lavishly furnished and filled with Ibiza’s famous natural light. One is fitted with a freestanding, claw-foot bath, a magnificent chandelier and views over the valley towards the sea. Another features a cane swing chair and a private terrace overlooking the forest. Yet another boasts a huge bathtub and even a disco ball – serving to remind you (as if you could ever forget!) that you are indeed in Ibiza. One lucky child can sleep amongst a mural depicting a pirate ship, dolphins and colourful fish, and this children’s room shares a bathroom with the master bathroom.

Interior

Wooden gates open on a pathway where the front door announces the beauty of what is to come. An enormous wood door flanked by orange trees is framed with a remarkable glass edging. The foyer opens straight onto the double height lounge area where two pillars support a free floating, glass walled upper level – the house is flooded with natural light. Separated by the fireplace is the dining area, to the right the kitchen. Kitted out with everything required for delicious meals. A wood island has four bar stools and a side door leads to a shaded outdoor dining table. There is even a kid’s table and playroom for the little ones in your group.

Outdoors

Take your pick from the outside lounge zones  – complete with striking chandeliers contrasting with rustic furnishings – skirting the stairs that lead down to the beautiful pool, surrounded by parasol shaded sunbeds and double daybeds. An outdoor kitchen with a shaded dining table is the perfect place for alfresco dining – especially homemade pizzas from the wood fired oven. Laze around in the shaded, sunken lounge area with plush sofas or find your inner peace in the Balinese style shelter at the end of the pool – perfect for lazy afternoons while the kids are occupied with the playground, trampoline and pirate ship.
