After many years spent designing, planning and styling some of the most beautiful island events, Ibiza wedding experts Cardamom have amassed an expansive warehouse filled to the brim with all types of equipment – from the sparkliest and prettiest decorative pieces down to mobile bar set-ups, tables and chairs. With each new year, and each new trend, the warehouse expands – a veritable Aladdin’s cave of wedding treasures – and in 2017, the obvious next step for Cardamom was to launch their own event hire service.
The trend for DIY weddings was the inspiration for this new service, as Cardamom discovered many enquiries were coming from couples who wanted to dream up and decorate their events in style, without necessarily having to invest in the full event planning service. And thus, Cardamom Event Hire was born – after all, why have all those beautiful things gathering dust in a warehouse if they could be mixed and matched to make even more occasions special? The more events, the merrier.
With the launch of the new business, came a new influx of equipment in order to cater to all tastes and styles. From luxurious new crockery, handmade in Portugal in a mix of old-school and new styles for antique and modern looks, to beautiful gold-rimmed, antique inspired glassware, hipster-esque mason jars, elegant cutlery in a range of colours and more, creating the most beautiful and unique table settings for your guests is easy. And speaking of tables, Cardamom have a variety of styles available to rent – and a bespoke carpenter on the team to build custom styles should you not see exactly what you’re after. Chairs too, can be mixed, matched and customised – from traditional and rustic to glamorous and even peacock styles.
Going beyond the dinner settings, Cardamom also offer a range of lounge options – such as the bohemian lounge setting, featuring layer upon layer of Persian rugs and cushions, low Moroccan tables, elegant lanterns, wooden chests and much more to create a 1970s style chillout (and a picture-perfect backdrop for photos). For ceremonies, archways can be rented and customised – from tepee styles to fresh-flower filled traditional creations or flowing, fabric draped romantic arches under which to say ‘I do’. Benches, cushions, parasols, signage, mobile bar set-ups (choose from classic white or rustic wood) complete with beautiful service trays and cocktail equipment, DJ booths (disco balls and all!), cool coffee corners and so much more is available. The sky’s the limit.
Cardamom Event Hire offers a simple drop-off service, or customers can opt for the additional styling and set-up service to go with their rentals to ensure everything looks as beautiful as the pictures, and they can just get on with the business of enjoying their wedding day! Cardamom Event Hire is not simply limited to DIY events, with big hotels, on-island wedding planners and other venues (recently even including a 300-person cruise ship) all enlisting their services to give their existing locations a fresh new look when needed. With the ability to cater to up to 300 guests with their existing equipment, and the possibility to go higher upon request, Cardamom Event Hire fills a gap in the market for creative wedding styling that won’t break the bank.
