Ibiza weddings: Es Jardins de Fruitera – Elegant and magical celebrations

Es Jardins de Fruitera is an elegant and magical setting in the heart of Ibiza, offering a tailor made service for weddings and events of all kinds. It’s the perfect backdrop for your wedding album – sun splashed terraces, an idyllic farmhouse and plethora of purpose built areas and unique zones in spacious and verdant gardens. This dream destination is not only cocooned by nature; it’s in the loving care of the Roig family.

The family first opened Yemanja on Cala Jondal 35 years ago, followed by Plaza del Sol and Guillemi’s in Ibiza town, and they’ve been in the restaurant and events business ever since. After passing on the operation of Yemanja to new owners, sons and daughters – Sergio, Javi and Mariana – have brought their big hearts, family values and personal touch from the rocky beach of Cala Jondal right to the heart of Ibiza’s countryside.

With free reign to design an enchanting day you’ll cherish forever, this includes selecting the food you desire. The Es Jardins menu promises deliciously traditional Ibicenco cooking with a Mediterranean touch; appetising salads and starters, tender slow-cooked meats, fresh seafood and roasted fish, their famous rice dishes and homemade desserts. The family also serve gastronomic tapas and more elaborate cuisine at their other restaurants, and in fact they cater to your exact requirements without imposing restrictions.

“We are super flexible, and if you want us to do something we don’t normally offer, we do it,” says Javi, who keeps a watchful eye on all suppliers to make sure their demand for high quality is constantly met. Meat and fish are sourced locally where possible, with fresh vegetables from Ibiza’s many fincas. “If you want sushi, you can have it! We have our recommendations, but essentially we do what you want.” This includes arranging live music and entertainment if the sound of the island crickets is not enough to satisfy your guests.

“We are well known in Ibiza for holding weddings,” says Sergio. “Many Ibicencos like a traditional meal like paella or another rice dish, but we are open to providing whatever Ibiza’s international clientele wants.” Mariana agrees, and understands it’s not all about a sea view – country locations can also be a spectacular and iconic setting. “People don’t just want weddings on the beach,” she explains. “They want that taste of Ibiza, and here you have that.”

This iconic restaurant and wedding venue is like an ever expanding garden of Ibiza delights. The age old farmhouse has been carefully restored exposing ancient stonework throughout the rooms, with a stunning fireplace, high ceilings and lashings of character throughout. An impressive yet intimate room for 220 people has been built with water feature and stage, with another room for up to 80 guests and plenty more places and zones throughout the grounds to make your own.

From weddings to communions, fashion shows to festivals, birthday gatherings, cultural events, conferences and meetings, Es Jardins de Fruitera has so many areas that even multiple group bookings can retain their privacy.

With Ibiza being a favourite amongst international couples tying the knot, being off the usual beaten wedding track certainly has advantages. At Es Jardins de Fruitera the made to measure service and privilege of being somewhere different while savouring the taste of the real Ibiza countryside is something you won’t forget.
