Beautiful Ibiza beach restaurant Maya Beach Club is a new player on the Ibiza wedding scene in 2017, having enlisted an all-new wedding and events manager, head chef and team of experience staff to bring top level service and style to the shores of Cala Vadella. With manager Silvia Galatioto – an experienced wedding planner, restaurateur and sommelier – at the helm, future brides and grooms can simply kick back and let Maya Beach Club do all the hard work for them.
Getting married in Ibiza is a dream of many couples and Maya Beach Club ticks so many of the boxes lovers are seeking when planning an island wedding. Picturesque, breathtaking views over the Mediterranean? Check. A spacious and stylish venue big enough to hold your nearest and dearest? Check – 130 of them to be precise (all on one level). An all-in-one venue that can host ceremonies in addition to late night dancing? Check (until 2.30am – a rarity in Ibiza). Delicious cuisine. Check – fresh and creative Italian-influenced menus courtesy of chef Jose Navarro. All you need to do is provide the guest list!
Meticulous organisation is key to any wedding’s success, and Silvia and her team have formulated a series of three set packages to choose from as the basis for your event. Choose between Giotto, Leonardo or Michelangelo and then add extra services such as entertainment, kid’s corners, VIP transport (the venue even has its own Hummer), photography, videography, wedding cakes, DJs, security, hair and make-up (which can be done onsite at the in-house spa) and much more – check their wedding brochure online for more details. The Maya Beach Club little black book for weddings is extensive, and only the best suppliers will be recommended.
Each package includes a VIP guest list for the arrival of your guests, a gorgeous wooden archway with floral decoration and foliage under which you can say ‘I do’, beautiful vases lining the aisle and altar, benches, chair covers, fine table linen and napkins plus a sound system, with extra levels of stylish décor added as the packages go up in price. Rain cover is also included in each package – though Ibiza does boast over 300 days of glorious sunshine each year, it’s always worth being prepared.
At the heart of the Maya Beach Club wedding concept area the carefully devised menus, with three options available. Should your tastes extend in a different direction, it’s no problem, with the chef available to create bespoke menu plans designed around your personal tastes. A kid’s menu is also available, catering to the typical tastes of little ones, with ice cream at the end to guarantee good behaviour! All ingredients are sourced locally where possible, or flown in directly from mainland Spain and Italy to ensure the highest quality.
For formal dining, Maya Beach Club can seat 90 people comfortably on the largest level, while for casual stand-up canapés, the capacity is 130 guests (on the same floor). Fine wines too, are another specialty of Maya Beach Club thanks to Silvia’s training as a sommelier. From your welcome glass of cava through to whites, reds and roses served throughout the evening, plus Prosecco or champagne to toast, no one will go thirsty and quality is unparalleled.
The stunning all-white venue provides the perfect setting for a romantic Mediterranean wedding. With the styling and décor perfectly contrasting with the azure blue of the sea and sky stretched out before you, it is as close to perfection as you can get. Set across four levels, couples have the option to hire the venue exclusively for the entire day – with either a minimum amount of 90 guests or a minimum spend negotiated – or can opt to take over certain sections, be it the magical rooftop space for intimate groups or the terrace below.
Being set on the southwest coast of the island means the hour surrounding the sunset is truly magical, as the sky above changes colours from blue to burnt orange and gold, before the pink and purple dusk turns into a starry night. Having organised many island weddings in the past, Silvia recommends this magical moment as the perfect time to slice your wedding cake and take your first dance as newlyweds – then after dark, the open bar and party vibes can kick in!
