Ibiza weddings: Maya Beach Club – Making wedding dreams come true
Ibiza lovers planning their perfect island wedding dream of golden sands, turquoise waters and bright blue skies as a backdrop. Beyond the physical location, they seek a chic and elegant setting, warm and professional service, high-level catering and attention to detail with every element of the event organisation. Then, of course, there’s the perfect execution of all of the above on the big day. Maya Beach Club, the stunning modern restaurant presiding over the charming beach of Cala Vadella offers all of this and more. Here, it’s all about making your Ibiza wedding dreams come true.
While brides and grooms are getting beautified in their hotel suites or private villa, the Maya Beach Club team are busy transforming the stylish, all-white space into a wedding wonderland. The space is reserved exclusively for your party on your chosen date, and can be configured in a variety of ways to host pre-wedding drinks, ceremonies, canapes and cocktails followed by a dinner and dancing, with a total capacity of 130 (standing) or 90 (seated). The in-house wedding planning team put in place beautiful archways, altars, floral decoration, candles, vases, plant life, fine table linen, beautiful seating, centerpieces and more (including rain cover if needed – a rare occasion in Ibiza), creating a picture-perfect setting for your wedding photos.
When your guests arrive at around 4pm (as the summer heat begins to subside), they step across the sandy Cala Vadella threshold to be greeted by the super professional staff, with welcome drinks and to the sounds of a DJ or acoustic band while they wait for the bride’s arrival. When the wedding party are all in place, it’s time to experience all the love and emotion of the ceremony or blessing – and here in Ibiza there are many different celebrants available to suit your needs. The ideal setting for this declaration of love is in the Maya Beach Club tower – a beautiful structure adjacent to the main building with stunning views across the Mediterranean Sea.
Once the bride and groom have been officially declared husband and wife and showered with confetti (natural petals only, in keeping with the venue’s eco-friendly ethos), guests mingle on the stylish terraces over drinks and canapes in Ibiza’s glorious golden sunset light before being seated for dinner and speeches. After the happy couple, the food is the star of the show on a wedding day and the Maya Beach Club menus – created by talented head chef Jose Navarro – have been designed to treat tastebuds to an unforgettable feast. There are three options available, however Jose and his team are also available to create bespoke menus at an additional cost – remember, it’s all about making your wedding dreams come true.
The menus are a representation of the Mediterranean meets Italian cuisine concept at Maya Beach Club. Ultra-fresh, seasonal and local produce is used to create mouthwatering starters, delicious mains and decadent desserts – think foie gras salad with apple and caramelised cheese, pappardelle pasta with lobster sauce, porcini mushrooms and pak choi or a fillet of wild sea bass with king prawns and black caviar. Extras such as cocktails, fine wines, an open bar and additional drinks plus late night snacks can also be arranged when booking your package with Maya Beach Club, along with services such as security, babysitters, photographers, wedding cakes and more.
Once food and formalities are over, it’s time to get to the frivolities – the really fun stuff! After the newlyweds take their first dance, the party really gets going with a dance floor on the terrace, moving indoors after midnight (local laws require the terrace to close at 12am) so the party can continue before your guests head out into the Ibiza night. DJs and entertaibment can be arranged, along with sound systems and lighting – absolutely every last detail is taken care of by the experts at Maya Beach Club. All you have to do is say I do!
