Stylish Swiss couple Martina and Kilian were married in a hippy-chic spiritual ceremony on the secluded shores of S’Estanyol, complete with dream catchers, their closest friends and family and even a stunning white horse on the beach. After getting engaged in Hawaii, island vibes were definitely on their minds when planning their wedding and having visited the white isle for many years, they decided it would make the perfect location.

The couple enlisted Stephanie Werner of Ibiza Service Center to design and plan the nuptials and photographer Maria Simon of Marnosuite to capture all the happy memories of the day on camera. It was Maria’s romantic, creative style of visual storytelling – almost fairytale like – that led them to fall in love with her portfolio and consequently commission her to tell their own love story.

Deciding on a hippy style theme, Martina and Kilian knew they wanted a beach wedding, but somewhere chic and private. Rustic yet luxurious beach restaurant Cala Bonita provided the perfect backdrop – decorated with thousands of fresh flowers, beautiful dream catchers draped from a rustic wooden altar in the sand and elegant white umbrellas dotted on the beach, it was a beautifully bohemian setting for the spiritual ceremony to come.

Nothing builds the anticipation like the drive down the long, bumpy and dusty camino to Cala Bonita and that first breath-taking moment as you glimpse the Mediterranean Sea sets the mood for the event. The next magic moment came as Martina entered the cove – leading the beautiful white horse – in an incredible floor-length Yolancris gown, classic wedge-heeled espadrilles and a simple plaited headband in true boho style.

Following the spiritual ceremony on the beach, guests sat down to a beautiful Mediterranean feast on the rustic terrace of Cala Bonita, with long wooden tables set up family style with spectacular views. After the sun went down over the Med, a dramatic fire show took place and a saxophonist performed live after the speeches.

“It was a perfect wedding!” says Martina, looking back on the day, as the couple prepare to return to Ibiza to celebrate their anniversary. After the wedding, they were whisked away to honeymoon in Seychelles before returning to Switzerland to live happily ever after…
