Conscious clubbing – Wake Up Ibiza Festival

June saw 2015 the first ever Wake Up Ibiza Festival take place in the gardens of Benimussa Park, home to The Zoo Project and Gala Night, with a beautifully positive reception and reaction from the island’s spiritual community. Stall holders, performers and healers came together in a magical afternoon of celebration and love. Highlights included island favourite Kareem’s ecstatic dance set and live reagge from Jahbless and his band. The workshop area saw a stream of practicioners and the sunset meditation from Solara was particularly popular in the atmospheric gardens deep in the heart of the island.

The festival returns on Thursday September 10, 2015 for its second instalment with another afternoon of healing and exploring higher consciousness. The collective bring together workshops, screenings, live music performances, yoga, audio-visual displays, healthy food and drink, children’s entertainment and an intimate dance arena to celebrate the New Moon and all the new beginnings it signals.

India-based musicians Mantrica return to Ibiza for their final European appearance with a live show using global mantra and meditative hang drum. Teachers and healers from Ibiza, uplifting Tai Chi and many more energising workshops also feature, alongside Janosh Sacred Geometry Activations with an introduction to The Template, and a special ceremony for ‘a reconnection of our BioCircuitry’.

The festival also aims to expand visitors’ knowledge of the island’s nature and its beauty, by offering a free sunset walk with Dutch company, Hiking Ibiza on the day after the festival. After meeting at Wake Up, ticketholders can spend time with their newfound friends and enjoy a magical sunset walk to one of the best places on the island to feel vibrational energy whilst connecting with inner and higher selves on Friday September 11, 2015. Hiking Ibiza specialise in walking and experiencing nature around the island, guaranteeing to find a stunning spot to experience the New Moon in all her glory.

Wake Up Festival offers festival-goers chance to explore body, mind and spirit and a place to connect with other spiritual souls on this unique island where it all begins.

The festival offers free entry to children up to the age of 16, and all residents can purchase tickets for just 11€ from selected outlets including Ecocentro Ibiza in Santa Gertrudis. Online tickets for non-residents include the free nature walk with Hiking Ibiza and are on sale at 33€.
