Summer 2021 is well and truly happening. There's a buzz and excitement in the air as flights arrive on the white isle thick and fast. Due to the nature of events this season, you'll need to plan and pre-book your itinerary in order to guarantee your seats at the island's best events. Here, our editor selects the best things to do in Ibiza this week, from July 19 – July 25, 2021.

Pikes presents Paco Fernandez at Pamelas

8pm – Tuesday July 20, 2021
When it comes to live music in Ibiza, Flamenco legend Paco Fernandez is every bit as much of an icon as the venue he’s performing in this Tuesday: the one and only Pikes Ibiza. Famous for his own form of Flamenco fusion, which includes amazing musicians, fantastic dancers and a live DJ, the talented guitarist has been playing at Pikes since it opened in the early 80s and you won’t find a more authentic and unique dinner-and-a-show combo than this. As much a part of the venue’s heritage as he is its evolution, Pikes presents six Paco Fernandez shows in its candy pink Pamelas restaurant this season – each and every show is a sell-out so be sure to make a reservation quickly!

The Brothers Grim at Hostal La Torre

7pm – Wednesday July 21, 2021
The sunset just seems to get even more and more spectacular as the summer goes on, with psychedelic skies whirling around the blazing golden ball of sun as it melts into the sea each night. This Wednesday, the sunset is made magical by the sounds of The Brothers Grim, who return to La Torre Ibiza on the west coast of Ibiza – home to the most authentic Balearic soundtracks and truly sensational sunset views. With candlelit tables and chairs scattered from the alfresco terrace all the way down the rugged cliffside, it captures the magic of Ibiza’s bygone days and evokes the essence of Ibiza. Just add cocktails, great food and good friends – there’s nothing Grim about it except perhaps those DJs!

Full Moon Dinner at Amante Ibiza

7pm – Friday July 23, 2021
The east coast of Ibiza is always the place to be to watch the full moon rising and Amante Ibiza is one of the most in-demand destinations from which to enjoy the experience. The iconic fine dining restaurant has curated a special five-course degustation menu including a Peruvian tiradito-style croaker fish; homemade Ibicencan rotja and prawn ravioli, served with carabinero vinaigrette and Osetra caviar; John Dory fillet with Galician clam, red prawn and a light saffron broth; Nebraska Black Angus tagliata with caramelised leek, plus a dessert of Amante-style Ibizan flao. The menu is 80€ per person with an option for wine pairing available for an additional 30€ and the event is by reservation only. Simply incredible.

There’ll be food stations, a barbecue and mobile bars to enjoy, while you’re entertained by live music from Rebecca Gamboa and the sounds of DJ Chino Paino. The event will also be a feast for the eyes, as NM Ibiza present fashion shows and guests are entertained by the Fantasia Group Show, plus the amazing art exhibition, 2020 Zodiac Collection, by British multi-disciplinary artist Sequin Kay in addition to her installation The Peace Pyramid – presented by Nina Churchill Gallery. WooMooN Opening at Cova Santa

7pm – Friday July 23, 2021
Watching the island ease back into a safe and new version of the nightlife culture that we’ve so missed has been heart-warming over the past few weeks, and there’s no better open-air venue to celebrate togetherness and music than Cova Santa. Set in the hills of San José, the spectacular venue has been beautifully transformed with colourful carpets, twinkling lights and bohemian furnishings on the dance floor, where bottle service is available, while on the upper levels, the stunning gastronomic restaurant serves up Michelin quality cuisine and cocktails. This Saturday sees the return of the venue’s most popular conceptual event, WooMooN – where magic exists, everything is possible and music, art and nature intertwine to create an atmosphere like no other. Bora Uzer, Felix Raphael, Madota and Âpe Chimba provide the soundscape and the full moon provides the celestial energy.
