With a heritage spanning 45 years, D Shop has born witness to many an interior design trend over the years but understanding the timeless nature of authentic island style has made the brand a mainstay. Set just outside Santa Gertrudis, the location is ultra-convenient for interior designers, restaurateurs, hoteliers and private homeowners who are looking to find inspiration or breathe new life into old spaces.

Founded by the renowned Madurga family, today the business is curated by new owners Kate Tilbury Cooke, an experienced interior designer, and her husband and business partner Damon, who bring a British sensibility to the field. Their strong work ethic, high level of professionalism and personalised service, combined with a thorough understanding of the Ibiza climate, lifestyle and architecture, means D Shop delivers on-time, on-budget and to exact specifications.

While there is no standard approach to a D Shop project and most are bespoke, Kate’s forte is fusing classic styles with a contemporary twist, and she professes to a love of linens, textures and patterns. She has the intrinsic ability to help each client fulfil their interior design vision, be it bespoke curtains or blinds for an unusually shaped (and typically Ibizan) window, re-upholstering vintage pieces, a full outdoor furniture collection and vast exterior fabric range, or putting the finishing touches to a new build or a finca restoration.

The D Shop showroom is where the creative consultations begin, and Kate is expert at leading her clients through the mesmerising array of textiles on display to hone in on styles that match their interior design tastes. Their edit spans classic linens and upholstery materials, iconic prints, vibrant colours, niche designer labels, fire-proof and stain resistant selections and, most importantly in Ibiza’s harsh climate, stunning fabrics for exterior spaces – and that’s just the beginning.
