Imagine a place where colourful cacti grow beside exotic palm trees, vibrant fuchsia Bougainvillea emerges from lush green bushes, clear blue skies accentuate the whitewashed walls of an ancient Spanish finca while wooden deck chairs and pristine white umbrellas provide the perfect complement to a sparkling turquoise swimming pool.
Imagine no longer – all this and more makes up the wonderful world of Can Lluc.
After passing through the family for four generations, in 2003 Ibicenco Lucas Prats converted his circa 1900 home into the award winning Agroturismo a tranquil San Rafael valley and her surrounding mountains comprise Can Lluc’s impressive 9.7 hectares, complete with forest walks, a Muscatel vineyard, stunning sunsets and the striking backdrop of Ibiza’s famous winter-blooming almond blossoms.
Offering 12 unique rooms, ranging from traditional stonewalled boudoirs featuring four-poster beds and fireplaces to luxurious modern havens with personal Jacuzzis, Can Lluc also boasts a spa and fully equipped business centre (perfect for out of season team building conferences), making it the ideal getaway for those seeking peace, quiet and privacy.
Breakfast is continental with a local twist courtesy of Can Lluc’s beloved 63-year old Ibicencan chef – croissants, ensaïmadas, Serrano ham, dried figs, fresh tomato and yoghurt, plus fresh coffee and the sensational house speciality, freshly squeezed juice fusing grapes and kiwi. For lunch and dinner, dine alfresco on delicious traditional home-cooked meat, fish and rice dishes.
After dark, the venue is equally as breathtaking, a romantically soft-lit paradise with only the sounds of nature to send you off to sleep. Lucas says after just one night at Can Lluc he can see the stress of reality eased off his guest’s faces.
