Cala Boix

Location  North east, Ibiza, Spain  View on a map
First impression  A real ‘off-the-map’ discovery
Editor’s pick  Bring a beach blanket and a picnic
Food & drink  Restaurante Cala Boix, Restaurante La Noria
Where to stay  Can Talaias

Surrounded by rocky cliffs and trees, the pale, clear water is a striking contrast to the dark grey, pebbly sand. A great beach for snorkeling when calm and bodysurfing when the tide is up, and for consistently stunning views all the way from sunrise through until sunset.

Who goes there?

This picture perfect bay is popular with luxury yacht owners by water and dedicated locals by car. It’s also a popular choice for naturists, so don’t be surprised to see nudity.

When to go

Wait until the wind picks up in the afternoons then head to Cala de Boix for some light waves and bodysurfing action. It’s rarely crowded, so enjoy the space!

White Ibiza loves

The feeling that you’ve made a real ‘off-the-map’ discovery once you arrive. Ditch the sun beds and set up on the shore on a big beach blanket and a picnic… old school style.
