The closest beach to Ibiza’s town centre and old town, Figueretas is a bustling little area that really evokes a Mediterranean holiday feeling. With three separate strips of sand, connected by a long promenade, the vibe changes depending where you are on the beach – locals on their lunch breaks, tanorexic sun worshippers from morning til night, post-party ravers and fitness enthusiasts alike enjoy the golden sand and turquoise sea stretched out for miles…

Who goes there?

A heavy Dutch and German contingent from the neighboring hotels plus plenty of lazy locals (aka ‘townies’) who don’t want to stray too far from home, or don’t have the transport necessary to travel any further!

When to go

Mornings are beautiful on Figueretas, as the sea twinkles in the sunlight and the sand is relatively unoccupied until about lunchtime. It’s also lovely around sunset time, as the sky turns from blue to purple to pink and gold and the market stalls are set up and ready for après-beach retail therapy.

White Ibiza loves

The amazing views to Formentera and Dalt Vila from the sand, plus the pretty palm-tree lined promenade… all the more reason to walk there from town!
