One of the great joys of the off-season for island residents and visiting foodies is the chance to connect with friends over a great value menu del día (a set menu that changes daily or weekly) in some of the island’s best restaurants. In Ibiza town, on the buzzy, vibey Vara de Rey, La Cava Ibiza serves up one of the capital’s finest: a three-course (19.50€) lunch made from local, seasonal produce with both Mediterranean and international influences.
Starter options could include a tuna poke or a creamy pumpkin soup, while mains could range from a vegetarian-friendly green risotto to a spicy pulled pork bao bun, menus change weekly and include a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink. Homemade desserts such as banoffee pie and freshly brewed coffee complete the experience, enjoyed on the sunny terrace or in the chic interior on cooler days.
