The sleepy northern village of San Juan comes alive every Sunday with a weekly Mercadillo from 10am until early afternoon, taking over the main square and surrounding streets with stalls and music.
Locally grown fruit and vegetables, artisan bread and coffee, pottery, paintings, vintage fashion and up-cycled handicrafts, there is something for all and plenty to explore as around 95 different stallholders offer their unique wares.
The village cafes and restaurants offer brunch or lunch on their sunny terraces and gardens, making this a morning excursion well worth heading north for.
