It’s official. As of July 1, 2020, Spain, and therefore Ibiza, is finally open to foreigners once again! After what seems like an eternity, our airports and marinas are welcoming holidaymakers and to those who’ve been cooped up in a grey city for the duration of the global lockdowns, the allure of the verdant countryside of Ibiza is hard to resist. What could be better than waking up every day to the sounds of birds singing and treetops rustling; to the smell of home-baked bread and freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air; to the sight of the sun casting its glow over lush, green mountains and valleys? Enshrouded by the fragrant zing created by 13 hectares of the stunning orange groves, Atzaró Agroturismo Ibiza has long been a luxurious Ibiza institution. The main building – an authentic, centuries old farmhouse – has been meticulously maintained by seven generations of the same family, who grew up here before expanding into the realms of hoteliers. The in-house restaurant fuses Mediterrranean and local dishes with an Asian touch, made with love using produce from the surrounding farmland. An absolutely stunning and authentic Ibiza Agrotusimo, that was once the family home of owner Lucas Prats’ grandparents, the 300-year-old traditional farmhouse at Can Lluc has been lovingly restored by the family to include 20 sumptuous rooms, all finished to the highest possible standards. Run alongside Lucas’ wife, Tina Soriano, the warm and welcoming service is what keeps people coming back year on year to Can Lluc – with some even going on to get married on the beautiful grounds. As we move into this new era of travelling, holidaymakers are increasingly seeking out hotels that put sustainability and a conscious approach to business at the forefront of their brands.
