Halfway up the iconic San Juan ‘restaurant road’ sits the beautifully restored finca that houses A Mi Manera – a farm-to-table Italian eatery set within lush, organic vegetable gardens and on Wednesday night, the restaurant serves up a Valentine’s Day Dinner inspired by fine Italian cuisine in the most romantic of settings.
The set menu costs 65€ per person and includes a starter of aubergine, shittake mushroom, and turmeric croquettes, followed by a choice of Mediterranean octopus carpaccio with white bean hummus, or a symphony of cheeses and cold cuts with home-made focaccia. The first course is a leek and Champagne risotto, while the main course is a choice of wild sea bass with artichoke cream and seasonal mushrooms, or Black Angus vacio with mashed potatoes. Dessert is a Valentine’s chocolate coulant with red fruit coulis – the perfect end to the perfect evening.
