Es Caló Restaurant

Es Caló is made up of a series of small but sweet rocky bays, including an idyllic natural harbour ringed with fishermen’s huts and two deep sandy beaches and turquoise waters. It is here gastronomy and nature meet for the most magical and memorable of dining experiences, at the eponymously named restaurant on the cusp of the jagged coastline, famed for its fresh seafood and uninterrupted views of the Balearic Sea.

Playing on the natural flavours of shellfish, freshly caught fish and the finest cuts of meat plus locally grown vegetables allows the chefs at Es Caló Restaurant to design a menu that is timeless in its simplicity. Featuring an array of local dishes, a huge variety of typical Spanish rice dishes and a nod to Andalusian cuisine, much love goes into each item, from the spiny lobster casserole which must be pre-ordered in advance to the homemade desserts created with fresh Formentera figs straight from the tree.

Perched on the stylish wooden balcony with nothing but the sparkling turquoise sea and wild tall grasses sprouting from the rocks below as your view, it’s easy to feel as though you’re on the edge of the earth. Nature in abundance, as above, so below, and on your plate!
