Formentera lighthouses

In Formentera it’s all about the surrounding scenery of its three famed lighthouses.

Seen one lighthouse, seen ’em all? Sure, they all look similar but in Formentera it’s all about the surrounding scenery of its three famed lighthouses. The oldest and perhaps most famous of the three is situated at La Mola and boasts both sunrise and sunset views from its vantage point on a 120-metre high cliff – as documented by none other than Jules Verne, who featured the lighthouse in the novel Hector Servadac, commemorated by a plaque onsite. Next is Es Cap de Barbaria (pictured above), a standout vision on the horizon, with a pirate watchtower close by for those looking to explore! Last but not least is in the port of La Savina, with a nature reserve on one side and the luxurious marina on the other.
