Formentera sunsets

You could arguably claim that sunset in Formentera is even more epic than Ibiza.

You could arguably claim that sunset in Formentera is even more epic than Ibiza. Why? You can see it from practically every point of the island, and since you can stand at one end of Formentera and see right down to the other end, watching the sun set over Ibiza’s little sister provides more picture postcard moments than you ever thought possible.

Sunset can be such a beautiful time; maybe one of the only moments in the day when you stop what you’re doing and give yourself entirely to that moment, watching the sun’s descent over a watery horizon. Formentera’s bars and eateries are well versed in the Balearic sunset and a few key places do it even better than the rest. Cala Saona is a popular sunset spot with a little beach shack on stilts serving up the island’s best mojitos; Beso Beach do it in their classic Euro chic style, and Piratabus keep things simple with their rustic chiringuito vibes on the rocky shore at Migjorn. At Blue Bar the décor may be blue (with a dash of extra terrestrial!) but the vibes are most definitely not, with both live and electronic music all week and fabulous food for those who linger long after the sun has gone down.
