Fire

The power of the grill is harnessed at Fire in Santa Eulalia, an Ibiza restaurant housed within the trendy surrounds of W Ibiza, where organic local products and prime cuts of meat are flame-grilled to perfection.

Tucked away within the trendy walls of W Ibiza, Fire is the exquisite modern brasserie playing a pivotal role in the bustling resort town’s growing gastronomic reputation. Hidden behind a large sliding door in the hotel’s lobby, the subtlety of the Ibiza restaurant’s entrance belies the magic that lies beyond but once inside, the glamorous surroundings and stunning sea views – paired with the sizzling scent of smoke and the sight of roaring flames – send the imagination and the tastebuds into an immediate spin.

The grill is the star of the show at Fire and rightly so – some of the best restaurants in the world lay claim to their titles thanks to the simple but transformative power of a flame. In this instance, it’s combined with the very best local, organic ingredients and vegetables, and hand-selected, prime cuts of meat. Prepared with precision and flair and beautifully presented, the beguiling Ibiza restaurant becomes the backdrop for a spectacular dining experience.

Divided into delectable sections like earth, sea, and meat, the Fire menu is an ode to perfect produce. Vegetable dishes at the Ibiza restaurant are cooked in the wood-fired oven so expect a certain smokiness to plates like tender cauliflower fillet with Tabun, herb oil and spiced Greek yoghurt; and roasted eggplant with white miso sauce, garlic flowers and volcanic salt. Meanwhile, succulent tuna belly is flame-grilled and served with caper vinaigrette and fresh herbs; and plump, sweet scallops are served gratin style from the Tabun oven — an ancient clay kiln shaped like a truncated cone.

Meat lovers will devour the intense aromas arising from the Ibiza restaurant’s kitchen, sensations that intensify once plates are delivered to your table. Cuts at Fire include Argentinian Black Angus Steak Eye, Black Angus Flank Steak Uruguay, and Galician Ribeye, each chosen specifically for its robust flavours and texture, while pork loin is dry-aged for 21 days and rack of lamb is sourced from Ireland. Couple with hearty sides like fluffy confit potatoes with chimichurri and Parmesan; warm tomato and fresh herb salad; and sautéed wild forest mushrooms drenched in butter, and it quickly becomes a feast to remember.

The intoxicating experience at Fire doesn’t end at the grill because dessert comes in the form of strawberry soup with yoghurt ice cream; local Ibizan carob chocolate; and Catalan crème. The Ibiza restaurant also boasts one of the most extensive wine cellars on the island, with a range of exclusive drops available. So settle into a velvet chair, soak up the frontline Mediterranean Sea views, and indulge in every element of this immersive feast for the senses. Open every Wednesday to Sunday, from 7pm.
