The Family Affair boasts illustrious interior design roots. Monica Damonte trained in the discipline in Italy over 20 years ago, and years later, her daughter, Victoria Lacarrieu, followed in her footsteps in the pursuit of the same passion. The pair share some similar design traits, but each boasts a singular style, which unites in serendipitous synergy on the shop floor at their Ibiza interiors store. The first Damonte & Lacarrieu concept store and showroom was opened on the dazzling shores of St Tropez; Paris and Ibiza soon followed, with the island’s urban and seaside locations proving a fantastic fit for Monica and Victoria’s richly storied aesthetic.

Located on the main road to Santa Gertrudis, The Family Affair by Damonte & Lacarrieu is housed within a stylish whitewashed finca with blue framed windows. Outside, bougainvillea tumbles from the walls and palm-fringed parasols blow in the breeze, but the real treasures await within the unique Ibiza interiors store. Monica and Victoria traverse the world in search of one-of-a-kind vintage and antique pieces, eschewing notions of classic and modern in favour of extraordinary origin and craftsmanship. The result is a collection of high-end, elegant pieces with a strong identity (think 50s and 60s-era wicker, leopard, tropical and palms) that stamp statement personality on to every home.

Inside The Family Affair by Damonte & Lacarrieu, custom vintages sofas sit alongside hand-crafted armchairs, brightly coloured ceramics brush up against luxe fabrics, and kaleidoscopic tableware sits atop handwoven place mats. Artisan brands like Les Ottomans, Ortigia, Bitossi and Casa Rialto are found throughout the Ibiza interiors store, while embroidered textiles from eco-conscious brands like Bazizst hang from the rails. Every single piece is personally curated by Monica and Victoria, often after many hours of research and visiting markets, and always chosen for their eye-catching appeal. 

Monica and Victoria also work closely with clients on personal projects as an extension of The Family Affair by Damonte & Lacarrieu.
